Write for us
United Conversation welcomes pitches that make a specific part of conversation easier to understand. Send proposals through the Contact page; a clear question and a distinct point of view matter more than a polished sales pitch.
What we welcome
Pitch an original piece about questions, listening, disagreement, group talk or another clearly defined aspect of conversation. Useful approaches include explaining a conversational choice, comparing two formats, tracing the background of a familiar practice or examining a common misconception. Keep the subject within the publication's focus and avoid turning a personal preference into a rule for everyone.
What makes a good pitch
State the working title, the central question, the main point readers will take away and why the subject merits a separate piece. Say how your approach differs from familiar advice and identify any claims that will need careful support. A pitch should stand on its own without invented credentials, unsupported certainty or a promise that a single technique will fix a difficult exchange.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message field. Proposals are reviewed for fit, clarity and originality. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication; please do not send a complete manuscript unless it has been requested.
Good conversation leaves room
A useful exchange is not a performance or a race to agree. It gives each person room to finish a thought and respond to what was actually said.
